Message from the Headteacher
So we've done week two of the Autumn term. All of us, children and adults, are getting back into routines now and I'm sure it will get easier!
Thank you again for helping with our staggered start and finish times, and for distancing in the playground when you come onto the site in the afternoons.
We may be able to start some after school activity clubs very soon, we're working with providers so that we can maintain the integrity of our year group bubbles and adhere to the guidance. Letters have gone out for some clubs. Watch this space for more information.
It is not likely that we will be able to resume the After School Club offer until government guidance changes, as we don't have any means of facilitating this without compromising our bubbles, which we cannot do. Breakfast club is running from 7:30am each day, pre-booking only.
The children have been great, washing hands regularly, staying within their outdoor spaces and managing all the other adjustments we have had to make.
Have a lovely weekend!
Family Services Outdoor Spaces Scheme
The Family Services Outdoor Spaces Scheme is currently working with the Greentop Centre (NW9) to offer families a safe space to play outside. Families can book a 90 minute slot on a weekday lunchtime, during which they have sole use of the area. The space is thoroughly cleaned before and after each use to minimise the risk of covid-19 transmission and taxis can be arranged (free of charge) to transport families to and from the centre safely.
There are two spaces available to book – area A is a grassy, hilly area with climbing frames and slides, and area B is a basketball court and smaller climbing frame with a soft floor which is more suitable for young children. The entire household is welcome to come along and play together or enjoy a picnic in the sunshine.
The activity is unsupervised and parents / guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times within the space.
Initially intended to support families where a child has a diagnosis of an autistic spectrum disorder, the scheme is open to any families with complex needs who would benefit from access to a safe outdoor space.
