We are all Friends of Hollickwood
Every family that joins Hollickwood is a valued member of our PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) which we call Friends of Hollickwood. Friends of Hollickwood is run by a committee of volunteers who are elected/confirmed at our Annual General Meeting in the Autumn term. We work closely with class representatives, who act as a link between the Friends committee and the children/parents from each year group. We exist to enrich our children’s learning experience at Hollickwood, by raising money for the school as well as building a strong school community. Throughout the school year we hold events like the Summer Fair, Fireworks Night and Class Cafes.
Past contributions to the school from our fundraising endeavours include:
The Wild Garden, playground equipment as well as trips, workshops and theatre performances. We are committed that all contributions, whether donations or volunteering are for the benefit of the children that attend Hollickwood School.
We talk with staff and students about what would enhance the children’s learning experience, and identify projects we could fundraise for/invest in.
