Hollickwood School Governing Body
We have a committed and hardworking Governing Body at Hollickwood School. Our job is to work with the school leadership team to secure the best possible outcomes for all the children who attend here.
Below you can read about the members of the Governing Body. Governors can be contacted through the School Office and further information, such as Terms of reference and meeting minutes, are available on request.
Adam Fagan, CHAIR OF GOVERNORS, PARTNERSHIP GOVERNOR
Term of office: 01/02/2021 - 01/02/2025
I am Professor of European Politics at King’s College London and am currently Vice-Dean of Education for the faculty of Social Science and Public Policy. I was previously chair of governors at Martin Primary School, where my 3 children attended, and have been a governor at the Archer Academy in East Finchley, where I have lived for over 25 years.
Kirstie Stroud, VICE-CHAIR, CO-OPTED GOVERNOR
Term of office: 08/02/2019 - 07/02/2023
Link Governor for: Inclusion, SEND, Safeguarding and Pupil Premium, Mental Health and Wellbeing
I have worked in a primary school all of my career; as a teacher since 2001 and, in more recent years, as an Assistant Head teacher at Duncombe School in Islington and Associate Governor. I am passionate about education and am excited to be a governor at Hollickwood. The skills and experience I have gained from working in a diverse, inner city primary school mean I am well equipped to support Hollickwood to become an increasingly successful school which achieves the highest of standards.
As well as giving children the best start in life, I believe that a good local school can benefit its community immensely. I particularly like the supportive, close-knit community and friendly environment offered to the families of Hollickwood.
Ed Tytherleigh, CO-OPTED GOVERNOR
Term of office: 05/10/2019 – 05/10/2023
I have worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years and I have been a Chief Executive in the charity sector for over ten years, so I know a lot about running non-profit institutions, but I am having to learn very fast about education!
I joined Hollickwood’s governing body in 2014 and became a Governor because I have twins going through the school and I want to do a voluntary role in the community, having lived in Muswell Hill for more than ten years.
I was asked to become Chair in 2016 and I hope to see it become an excellent school before I hand over the role to someone else.
Term of office: 21/11/2014 - 21/01/2022
Link Governor for: Early Years Foundation Stage (age 3 to 5)
Term of office: 27/03/2017 -26/03/2021
I have been working in Finance for the hospitality sector for nearly 10 years. I am a fully qualified accountant and Head of Finance in my current role.
Having been brought up in Muswell Hill and wanting to give something back to the community, becoming a Governor was the perfect way to help me do this. I am hoping to bring my Financial expertise to help govern the school.
Lucy Drane, PARENT GOVERNOR
Term of office: 28/01/2019 - 27/02/2023
I have lived locally to Hollickwood for over 10 years now, and I have two boys attending the school.
I work part-time as an Ofsted registered childminder, and part-time for Grace Church as their Children and Families Outreach Worker, running after school clubs, toddler groups and other midweek activities in addition to Sunday groups.
I am passionate about local community, and particularly love the diversity we benefit from at Hollickwood school.
Cristina Palmer-Romero, CO-OPTED GOVERNOR
Term of office 11/05/2020 – 10/05/2024
Link Governor for: Relationship and Sex Education
I have worked in the Media industry for over 20 years. During that time I have managed large scale projects in the UK and overseas and produced numerous communication programmes which have been developed in collaboration with the local communities. I have also worked for many years in the health care sector, working with vulnerable adults.
Sue Bayliss, PARENT GOVERNOR
Term of office: 17/12/2020- 17/12/2024
I am parent for two children currently in reception and am keen in supporting the school.
I work full time in Information Technology and have done for over 25 years. Currently I work for a financial services company in London in technical lead position. I have worked in many sectors and will bring this experience to role of governor.
