Year 3 Cycling

Year 3 had a great time completing their bike ability training this week. We are proud to announce that  3 children learnt to ride a bike for the very first time.  Over half the class have achieved Level 1 training and can now cycle safely.

Dr Bike

A big thank you to our Bikeit team for fixing so many bikes on Wednesday.  We look forward to seeing more children riding their bikes to school. If your child does ride their bike to school next week we have a GOLDEN LOCK competition which could win COLLEGE POINTS.  Ride you bike and to score points for your College.

Every day a GOLDEN LOCK will be placed on one bike and the winner will receive 100 points. Good Luck and Keep Pedalling!

Dogs Trust

On Monday, The Dogs Trust Charity returned to the school with Tigger the rescue dog to run a workshop about the needs of a dog and the responsibilities of being an owner.  The sessions were a great success and Tigger enjoyed meeting the children.

Wild Garden Project

The children have asked us to bring the wild garden back to life . The College Chairs did a site survey and have started designing some ideas. Next week the whole school will be invited to design their vision of  a new wild garden . The best ideas will win college points.  These designs will be used to regenerate the garden and we will be asking parents to get involved on Saturday 25th February for a Family Gardening Day. Details to follow.

Alongside attendance, we also need to improve our punctuality. Too many children are arriving late, and this can be disruptive of the learning in classrooms. On Tuesday of next week we will be holding 'late gates'. If your child arrives late, I.e. after 8.50am, we will need to record the reason so that we can see if anything can be done to help and also so that we have an accurate picture of lateness. Please don't be late!

Back Gate

The back gate will close everyday from 4.45pm giving parents enough time to collect their children from after school activities.

After school club

Please book 24 hours in advance for After School Club .  The office will not take bookings.  Please contact Reem on 07561 346 767 . Thank you.
