Barnet Schools Dance Festival

Hollickwood took part in the Dance Festival for the first time this week. The performance was at the Artsdepot in North Finchley and featured dancers from Barnet primary and secondary schools, as well as input from Middlesex University students. Our dancers were amazing and the evening was a storming success. Well done to all those who took part and a massive thank you to the staff that accompanied them and in particular our own wonderful choreographer Lisa!

Football Latest

The boys' football team played a cup match away to Brunswick on Wednesday. It was an even match and the scores were level at half time and it was still level at 2-2 after 5 minutes of the second half. However the hosts pulled away in the last 15 minutes to run out winners 5-2. Unlucky boys and well played! Hopefully we can try to get our first win before the end of this Spring Term.

Tesco's Charity Tokens

Home-Start is an organisation that helps families by training volunteers to work with them. The volunteers can support and befriend families dealing with issues like isolation, mental health, dealing with the threat of violence, poverty and disabilities. We can support this charity through the Tesco's token scheme. PLEASE ASK for a blue token at the till and put it in the Home-start Barnet, Brent and Harrow box. Thank you.

Health & Fitness

This year we are once again participating in the Sustrans Big Pedal, the largest inter-school cycling, walking and scooting competition in the UK. Big Pedal is a free annual competition that encourages children, parents and staff to travel to school using human power in order to win prizes and have fun. We would love everyone to be involved. On each day of the challenge schools compete to see who can record the greatest number of pupils, staff and parents cycling, walking or scooting to school. Our best days will determine our final position in the challenge. For more information about the event go to Follow Sustrans on social media (,

Enjoy the ride!
