Hollickwood Summer Fair. Saturday 7th July
At Hollickwood we are great at bringing everyone together to have fun, whilst we also fundraise for the school. This year, with your wonderful support, we have been able to repair the pond, improve and repair parts of the vegetable gardens and send the kids on school trips. We are also working on improving the entrance to the school.
The time has come again, to start getting ready for Hollickwood’s big event of the year – the Summer Fair! This event is organised by the parents of Hollickwood, so if you would like to help us in any way please do let the office know, we needs lots of helpers to run stalls and set up in the morning.
In preparation now for the Summer Fair we ask you to start donating the following items:
Please leave all items with the office.
The more items we have, the more money we can raise for the school and the more fun we can have!
Thank you so much.
It is walk to school walk 21st –25th May.
Please do encourage your child to walk to school this week, it is to raise awareness of pollution and the damage being caused to our environment. We will be rewarded with seeds to plant to help improve the air quality.
Our Library needs you!
Please can you spare an hour of your day to help in the library throughout the school day.
Please do let Emma in the office know if you can give us your time.
Year 1’s class café raised £93.07. The funds will be used when the children attend the British museum and take part in an African story telling workshop. Year 1 this week have been learning about how water affects peoples lives. Inspired by a water waste experiment they carried out. They have designed posters to encourage people to turn off taps whilst washing their hands. Please do look out for these around the school.
On this note we have had a number of confirmed cases of Worms in Early years. Please do encourage your child to wash their hands thoroughly.
