At Hollickwood School, your child’s safety is of utmost importance to us. Our ability to safeguard your children is robust due to the support from all parents and carers. As part of Hollickwood’s safeguarding responsibilities, we have reviewed our procedures and made a number of changes to ensure your child’s safety remains a priority.
Therefore, we would like to clarify the measures in place at the start and end of the school day. Opening times:
Parents/carers of children in Early Years are welcome to support their child into the setting until 9:00am when the gates will be secured. For all other year groups, children enter the class at 8:50am, when the second bell rings, with school staff. It will not be permitted for adults to be inside the building unless attending a prearranged event. If you have a message or concern, please go to the school office where a member of staff will help you.
Unless your child is attending Breakfast club or reading eggs please remain with your child in the playground until your child’s class teacher arrives to take them into the school building.
If your child arrives after 8.50am please bring them to the school office where a member of staff will take them to their classroom and sign them in on the late register.
School finishes at 3.20pm if you are running late to collect your child please inform the school office as soon as possible. Your child will remain with a staff member until 3.50pm after this time if you have still not collected your child they will be taken to after school club and charges will apply.
In any event that you are running late or your child is not attending school please do inform the school straight away on 020 8883 6880.
Please see the letter on website for full details.

Summer Fair—Auction items
A gentleman who has been working with the gardening club has made two bird boxes (from an unloved venetion blind) which he is kindly donating to us to be auctioned at the Summer Fair. We have had some lovely pieces made for our wild garden too, so please do take a look at the next opportunity.
Liga will be working with all the children to create pieces of artwork which will be exhibited from 25th June - 10th July. These pieces will be available to purchase - please keep an eye out for more details.
