Parent Meetings

Cactus class parent meeting will take place on Monday 21st September and Tulip’s meeting on Thursday 24th September. There will be two meetings in one day for each class, one at 9am and the other at 6pm. Hope to see many of you there.

 

SUDs project

Visitors from the Environment Agency, Wetlands Trust and Enfield Council along with The Deputy Mayor of Barnet came to see our SUDs project and help in some new planting. Ioana, Rosa, CJ, Javonte (Y6) and Anastasia (Y5) were on hand to help and

 

Parent Meetings

We will be holding meetings for parents and carers throughout the school year and they will cover a range of areas. Christmas Card Project

We will be taking part in the Christmas Card Project again this year and your child will be designing their

 

Forms

Envelopes containing all the forms to be signed and returned to school at the beginning of the year have gone out today. Please have a read through them this weekend and return the whole envelope on Monday 15th September.

 

Breakfast Club and After School Club

Breakfast Club starts at 8:00am every morning and runs until 8:30am. The cost per child is £2 and siblings £1. Please drop your child off to the person running the breakfast club that day. No children must be left unattended at the school

 

Rose trip to Windsor Castle

Rose class had a lovely day at Windsor Castle on Wednesday. They were able to make a connection with the topic, enjoyed looking at the armoury and were particularly interested in the architecture of the chapel.

 

Sweet Pea trip to Kew Gardens

Sweet Peas thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Kew Gardens last Wednesday. They visited the Palm House where the tropical plants can be found and were looking at different spices of the world. They also took part in a workshop, looking at seeds

 

Pupil Reports

The annual school report for your child has gone out today. If you wish to discuss your child’s annual report with the class teacher, please contact the school office to make an appointment.

 

Open Evening

Hollickwood open evening takes place on Thursday 16 th July from 4:00-6:00pm. This is a chance for you to walk round the school to view the work that has been done over the last year and also to meet the next year’s class teacher. Hope to see many of you there.

Pitch your tent from 2.30pm onwards, gates will close at 10pm.

Camping may be postponed in the event of heavy rain!

 

 

Tulip and Rose trip

Tulip and Rose classes went to Golders Hill Park on Monday. Tulips took part in orienteering workshop, learnt how to read a map and use a compass. Rose class attended animal workshop and tested their knowledge in a mini quiz.

 

Volunteer needed

The Governing Body of the school would like to co-opt someone to help with our canteen build project. As you will recall, we are going to have a new canteen. This project has reached a very interesting stage, with Barnet Council giving us

We want to address some of the issues with the learning environment that we currently manage. This is a very exciting opportunity for

 

Class Photos

Please note that the date for the class photos has changed. The photos will be taken on Monday 22nd June. Please send your children to school in their full school uniform.

 

Science Week

Science week will take place next week. On Friday there will be a science fair after school where parents and carers will have an opportunity to see what we have been learning about. Please remind the children to finish their projects and hand them to their class teacher by Friday morning.
