Big Pedal

The challenge runs from 20th—31st March and we would love everyone to be involved. The children will need to cycle /scoot to school to earn points.

Our best 5 days in the challenge will deter-mine our final position. We will be com-peting against other schools across the UK and if we clock up the most bike and scoot-er points we will win!


Scholastic Book Club

Our new Scholastic Book Club is up and running! Go to to browse the latest books and order online. For every £1 you spend on this month’s Book Club, our school will earn 20p in Scholastic Rewards.

The Scholastic magazines were handed out last week but you can also search for books online.


School Funding Action

You will be aware that all schools in the area are facing significant budget cuts under the revised National Funding Formula. There is a government consultation currently underway, this closes on 22nd March so there is time to respond. You can find helpful information about this, including a link to complete the consultation, here

We are very hopeful that the consultation process will lead to a rethink by the government.



Our netball team completed their fixtures for the season with a 3-2 loss to Holly Park here on Thursday. The team has done really well and improved so much over the time they have been together. They have been great ambassadors for our school with their sporting attitude and great team spirit. Well done to all of them! Next term we are going to have an after-school net-ball club so that more children can enjoy this great team game.

KS1 Trip

Nursery ,Reception,Year 1 and Year 2 trip to Highgate Woods on 30th of March 2017. Nursery parents please meet us by the Cafe at 10:15am. All children are welcome to attend. Speak to Miss Williams if you have any questions.



Wild Garden

Thank you so much to everyone who came to help on Saturday the Wild Gar-den looks fantastic. We will be holding a launch party with Egg Hunt on Friday 21st April from 3.30pm—5pm. We would appreciate any help running this lovely treat for the children. If you can help please let the office know. Thank you.


Year 2 Class Café

Year 2 raised £91.25 at the Class Café yesterday. Thank you to everyone who bought/made cakes.


Quiz Night

Come and join us for a fun night out on Friday 24th March from 7pm. Tickets can be bought at the school office. £5 per person. Bring a dish to share. We hope to see you there.

Year 3 Trip to the Science Museum

Year 3 had fun at the Science Museum on Tuesday. The children watched a science show called ‘Feel the Force’ and the class will be learning more about forces in the following weeks.

Ditch the Stabilisers

Bike Club KS2

Our Bike It Officer Arthur will be running an after school bike club on Thursday’s starting Thursday 9th March. There are only 6 places available and we will run it on a first come first served basis. All biking abilities are welcome but riders must had a basic knowledge of riding a bike and

A big thank you to Children’s Books Store,in Islington, for donating lots of new books to the school. The shop sells brand new books for a £1 each, its definitely worth a visit.

JTA Poster comp

The Junior Travel Ambassadors need your help! Please design a poster, for the up and coming Big Pedal event, promoting cycling to school.  The posters should be A4 size, bright and colourful! The winning poster will be on display throughout the school and our website.  Entries to be in by Friday 3rd March and handed to the School Office. We look forward to seeing your designs.

Police Station in Reception

Reception children have been learning about People Who Help Us, especial-ly the role of policemen. They have been pretending to be the officers and worked hard on keeping everyone safe. We are all looking forward to meeting a real police officer on Monday and we have been writing down to ask them questions.

Year 2 Animal Visit

Year Two have been learning all about the basic needs of animals. Last Thursday, Miss Stone's Yorkshire Terrier, Betsy, came to visit the children to help them with their learning. Then on Friday the excitement continued when they were visited by Dash, Mrs Johnston's tortoise.
