Class meetings for parents and carers

There was a change in the Year 4 parents’ meeting. It will now take place on Thursday 27th September. All other meeting dates will remain unchanged. Meetings will be at 9.00am and repeated at 5.00pm so that as many of you as possible can attend. Look forward to seeing you there!

School Meals

As we announced in July, the price per meal is being increased to £2.34 and we would like to remind you the all School Meals must be booked on school money a minimum of 1 week in advance.
Parent Governor Election There is currently one vacancy for a Parent Governor on the Governing Body for which an election is now being held. If you wish to seek nomination as an elected Parent Governor, please collect a nomination form from the School Office. This form should be completed, with the accompanying personal statement of no more than 150 words, and returned to the Headteacher no later than FRIDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2018.
Secondary Transfer – Year 6 only To assist parents with filling their online applications, there will be an opportunity for all parents/carers to come to school to do so. We will confirm the date in due course. Watch this space.

We still have a number of parents entering or leaving premises via school buildings. To make sure all children stay safe we strongly encourage parents to only use side entrances for drop-offs and pick-ups. Please take your children into the playground to line up and join the class that way. Only use the main entrance if you are late to drop off (after 9am) or need to speak to the office. Always report to the office staff and sign in. This procedure will help us identify any unwelcome visitors.

Easy Fund Raising

Do you shop online? Did you know that each time you shop; you could be helping to raise money for the school? It’s a really easy way to raise money for us – you just use the easy fundraising site to shop online with more than 3,300 well-known online stores like Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS,, eBay, Boden, and M&S and when you make a purchase, the retailer sends us a free donation, at no extra cost to you.

Just click the link below instead of going straight to your chosen online store, and click on the supplier link to continue shopping normally. (Many leading online retailers like Amazon, M&S, Next, Lego, John Lewis, Just Eat, etc. support easy fundraising.) The supplier then makes their donation direct to the Friends of Hollickwood. It’s as easy as that! (Also if you are a UK taxpayer please say yes to Gift Aid when registering. This automatically produces an extra 25% for the school - paid by the taxman!) We want to raise as much as possible, so please visit our new easy fundraising page at and click 'Support this cause'.
