What a great week we have had, firstly children from Years 3,4,5 and 6 took part in a Science fair hosted by APS. Our fantastic scientists made Hollickwood very proud on Tuesday.

Not only have they designed amazing projects for the Science Fair but they were also confident to talk about their enquires and findings in front of the judges and teachers from six schools!

The day was filled with presentations of projects and practical investigations. The children made their own torches in a school lab. They then experimented with boats filled with coins finding out how many coins it takes to sink it.

There was also an opportunity to learn about paramedics working in an air ambulance.

Some comments from our scientists:

At first I was very nervous to speak to the judges but then I found it easy. My project was so popular that I had to explain about 20 times! Theo

I had a great day! It was a really good experience to see so many really good scientific projects. Rion
