Science at Hollickwood

Did you know that: Camouflage is a visual disguise. Without it, an animal would be recognised easily Some camouflaged animals copy movements in nature, e.g., of a leaf blowing in the wind. Other animals attach natural materials to their body for concealment. A few animals change colour in changing environments

Science Club

Our Science Club has been very successful and the children have made very positive comments about it. Saphora, Y3: 'The Science Club is so much fun because you get to do so many experiments. My favourite one is lava lamp.' Angelique, Y2: 'I thinks Science Club is brilliant and I really enjoyed learning about camouflage Khadija: 'In my opinion the Science Club is really fun and you get to learn new things. I never knew there are so many animals in the world that can camouflage.'

The children have made lava lamps, learnt about finger prints and camouflage.

The Year 12 APS students are doing a fantastic job and we are looking forward to seeing more ideas after half term.
