Anti bullying week

Years 1-6 participated in anti bullying workshops delivered by a professional actor from Perform Schools. The interactive activities allowed children to discuss different aspects of bullying and find out about different ways of dealing with situations that are not ok.

Film Festival Celebrations

Year 3 had a brilliant time at Phoenix cinema on Monday. They watched Roald Dahl Revolting Rhymes and were amazed by the animation of the film.

Years 1 & 2 visited the Phoenix cinema on Wednesday to see ‘Sing.’ They travelled on the bus beautifully and were very well behaved throughout the experience. The children all said how funny the film was.

Nursery enjoyed learning about Paddington Bear this week. We looked at a world map and found where 'Deepest Peru' is and decorated our suitcases with flags and stickers. We then followed instructions to make his favourite marmalade sandwiches!

International Evening

Thank you to all of you who attended, staff, families and friends who performed and provided lovely food, crafts and entertainment. Your hard work went a long way towards making it a successful evening. Well done Mrs Boulton and team for organizing the event.

If you need to enter the school grounds during school hours after the gates have been locked please do use the Sydney Road entrance. We do kindly ask that you shut the gate behind you both upon entering and leaving. The gate is there as added security to keep your children safe and stop people entering the school premises who are not invited. Thank you.

Cashless

We will not be accepting any cash in the school office. All payments must be made via schoolmoney.co.uk. If you need help with your password please ask in the office.

As part of Anti Bullying week Year 4 took to writing Poetry and here is an example:

You may think you are cool
But you are a fool.
Calling me names does not attract fame.
When I go home I want my bed; these words are hurting my head.

All you know is to hurt others.
I don’t ever know why you utter.
When I played outside I found a friend.
His name is Kerry and we blend.
We say “Sticks and stones may hurt my bones but words will never hurt us.”

It is hard to be different;
To act just like you.
So love your own uniqueness,
Whatever you do!
